NMCT NMCT (Native Medicare Charitable Trust) is an Indian NGO that works for sustainable holistic development among the underserved. Swaminathan Research Foundation.

We have undertaken multiple projects catering to different needs of the society. Native Medicare Charitable Trust registered in 1988 commenced its activities in cultivation of medicinal plants and preparation of Herbal Medicines followed by interventions with the project on Bio-diversity conservation in 1992 in association with Dr. M.S. Awareness Programs on Waste Management, National Environment

Campaign, Environmental Education to School Students and Natural Resources Management were conducted from 1992 to 2008. During 1998 to 2002 and 2005 to 2006, we have closely associated with Kovai Child Labor Abolition Service Society, rescued child laborers from the bricklins and mainstreamed them to school education. Similar Project was undertaken from 2004-2007 funded by Karl Kubel Stiftung, Germany. 20 special schools were organized and 1625 children were educated during this period. Education to the under-privileged and destitute girl children are provided by providing them protective shelter at Abhaya Students Shelter. On health services, awareness programs to school students were conducted from 1997-1998 and to community people from 1999-2003. Care and Support was provided to people and children infected by HIV/AIDS under Community Based Care and Support program from 2002-2009. A special program on Children affected by HIV/AIDS was also conducted from 2007-2009 followed by Care and Support project in Pollachi from 2011-2014.
