This is an association started by the primary allottees of land and building at the SIDCO Industrial Estate area in the year 1973. The 26 primary allottees had felt the importance and necessity of such an association to represent the TANSIDCO authorities and Government of Tamil Nadu on various issues exclusively then faced by the allottees. With the ardent support of TANSIDCO and Government, the a
ssociation spearheaded towards its growth and now the unit membership stands at more than 200. The range of membership include Tiny and Micro Industries to Corporate sectors, engaged in the manufactures of automobile, valve , industrial and domestic consumable products. The Association is governed by a set of ‘Bye Laws’ and registered with Societies act 1971 of Tamil Nadu Government. The association has set its mission as under:
To safeguard and promote the basic interest and welfare of its members. To have technical and commercial sessions in this area for the development and innovation in the field. To support MSMES’ in reaching their Goals. The SIDCO authorities have allotted 2 sites to the association on payment from the reserved land for creation of common facilities to be maintained by COSIEMA, when the SIDCO expanded their activities by allocation of more sheds to various spectrums of enterprising entrepreneurs both at Kurichi and Malumichampatty. The association represented many issues faced by the members from time to time and reached amicable solutions by due negotiations. Policies of State and central Governments were quite encouraging and with such staunch support, the general development works under Industrial Infrastructure Development (IID) schemes were carried out at both Kurichi and Malumichampatty @ Rs.3.75 crores, with stake holder’s contribution @ 20% and balance 80% by State & Central Governments by way of grants. Our Association stands second to none in availing facilities announced by the respective Government departments from time to time. Essentials of this Industrial manufacturing cluster include exclusive STP, Power Plant to cater the power needs of the industries, and Industrial Training Institute to train the work force.
