Photos of a few moments from the Certificate Courses on Junior Para-Taxonomist and Nature Conservator-cum-Ecotourism Guide, held from 2–4 March 2026 at the Zoological Survey of India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Regional Centre.
Dr B.A. Daniel had the privilege of serving as a Resource Person for this programme in my capacity as Director (Research and Education), LIFE Trust India. The training was conducted under the Green Skills Development Programme (GSDP) sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
The course focused on building capacities of young participants in para-taxonomy, biodiversity documentation, nature conservation, and ecotourism guiding—skills that are essential for strengthening grassroots conservation and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
It was inspiring to interact with enthusiastic participants and share knowledge on biodiversity and conservation practices. Looking forward to seeing these young trainees contribute meaningfully to protecting our natural heritage.
