Found alone on a roadside, Kumaran was suffering silently from a severe maggot wound taking over his head. But the moment help arrived, he didn’t fight; he simply surrendered. He sat so still, brave beyond words, as we painstakingly cleaned his wound and gently removed every maggot to save his life.🥺
Today, for the first time in a very long time, Kumaran’s agonizing pain has stopped. Tucked under a clean bandage, he is finally resting peacefully, knowing he is safe.

Brought to us in agony after a severe accident crushed his front limbs, he underwent a life-saving double amputation. But today? This handsome boy stands tall on his hind legs like a tiny, unstoppable kangaroo! 🦘😍
He may be missing two front legs, but Agor is no different than any other cat you’ll ever meet. He walks, plays, makes friends, and out-meows every other cat in the room without missing a beat! He is 100% cat, 0% limited, and ready for his happy ending🏠.

Meet our Volunteer of the Month — Archita! 💛

“As someone who has grown up with dogs at home, my time at Humane Animal Society, Coimbatore was especially heartwarming to me. No matter how tiring the day was, seeing the wagging tails and the cute runs towards me every morning never failed to brighten my day. Working alongside such a compassionate and dedicated team taught me lessons about animal welfare, empathy and service. I am grateful for the opportunity of learning and being a small part of the incredible work that HAS does day after day to give rescued animals a second chance at life. I sincerely thank the entire team at Humane Animal Society for making this experience so memorable and rewarding.”
Archita been endlessly kind and reliable, and during her internship with us, she went above and beyond to help out everywhere she could. The beautiful bond she shares with the animals says it all. We couldn’t ask for a better teammate. We’re so lucky to have her!✨

🐾✨ Our shelter was filled with so much warmth, energy, and enthusiasm, all thanks to an incredible group of Grade 9–12 students from Yuvabharathi Public School!
Wanting to make a real difference, these passionate young volunteers jumped right into shelter life without hesitation! From sweeping and cleaning the shelter grounds to folding medical gauze for clinic treatments, they tackled every shelter activity with dedication.
Of course, the absolute highlight for both our rescues and the students was spending quality time together by grooming, petting, and showering our dogs and cats with endless love, cuddles, and attention! 🐕🐱❤️
This visit was hosted as part of our Compassion Building Initiative, generously supported by Harit by HCLFoundation 🌿.
A massive thank you to these wonderful Yuvabharathi champions for making a real, tangible difference for our animals today. You are always welcome back! 👋❤️

They start as a baby, grow into a bigger baby, and remain a baby for the rest of their lives. 🥰
