Sokkalingam International Travel Grant for Indian Ph.D. Scholars to attend Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS), University of Cambridge, United Kingdom
Coordinated by Centre for Urban Biodiversity Conservation & Education (CUBE), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
We are happy to announce an International Travel Grant to PhD Scholars in memory of Mr. Sokkalingam (05 June 1953 – 12 March 2024), a renowned Environmentalist & Industrialist from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu India. Through this initiative, his lifelong commitment to environmental conservation will continue to inspire many. The Travel Grants includes Return Airfare, Local Travel in India & UK, Travel Insurance and Visa Charges.
Over the past 24 years, SCCS Cambridge has hosted some 4,000 delegates from 136 countries worldwide. The prestigious conference plays crucial role in building the capacity of young scientists across the world.
The applicant’s research paper or poster must have been accepted by the SCCS Organizing Committee in order to apply for this Travel Grant. Call for applications by September 2025.
