From Assistance to Empowerment
Established in 2019, Degel Menashe is dedicated to serving the B’nei Menashe community in Israel and India. Our work is rooted in a long-term vision: to strengthen individuals, families, and communities by creating meaningful opportunities for education, integration, stability, leadership, and self-reliance.
As the B’nei Menashe community continues its journey of Aliyah and integration into Israeli society, Degel Menashe works to address both immediate needs and long-term challenges—supporting people not only in times of difficulty, but also in building a stronger and more independent future.
Our Areas of Focus
Education & Professional Advancement
We invest in education and scholarships that enable young people and adults to pursue academic and professional opportunities, develop their skills, and build meaningful careers.
Pre-Aliyah Preparation & Integration
We support B’nei Menashe before, during, and after Aliyah. Through preparation, guidance, and integration initiatives, we help new immigrants navigate their transition to Israel and build stable, productive lives within Israeli society.
Humanitarian Support
We provide assistance to individuals and families facing financial hardship or unexpected challenges. Our humanitarian programs serve as a safety net, helping families maintain stability, dignity, and hope during difficult periods.
Community Development
We work to strengthen community structures, encourage leadership, and create opportunities for people to participate and contribute. Our goal is to develop communities that are connected, resilient, responsible, and capable of supporting their members.
Cultural Preservation
The B’nei Menashe possess a unique heritage shaped by generations of history, traditions, customs, food, and community life. Degel Menashe works to preserve, document, and share this heritage so that it remains a living and meaningful part of the community’s identity for future generations.
Self-Reliance & Empowerment
Our ultimate objective is to create opportunities that enable individuals and families to become increasingly self-reliant. By investing in education, skills, employment, leadership, and community initiatives, we help people move from receiving assistance toward creating opportunities for themselves and others.
