Tiny Hands, Big Impact!♻️

As part of the 'My Sustainability Corner' initiative, Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra (SNM) has begun its plastic waste collection activity at schools. Students are taking practical steps toward a plastic waste-free future by bringing dry plastic waste directly from their homes to school.

SNM collected this waste to ensure it is channeled properly for recycling. By turning awareness into immediate action, these students are demonstrating how household waste can be responsibly managed. 🌍🌱

Our Project Officer, Soham Ghorpade, conducted the collection drive and awareness sessions, guiding students on how simple lifestyle adjustments can create long-term environmental benefits.

This initiative is a collaborative effort between Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra and Dow Chemical International Private Limited. 🤝

🚀 SNM kickstarts its 'My Sustainability Corner' initiative, empowering students to become the next generation of environmentally responsible citizens.

As the new academic year begins, we started conducting awareness sessions in schools today, and the enthusiastic participation of the students was truly encouraging.

Our Project Officers, Soham Ghorpade and Rajendra Humare, conducted engaging sessions, helping students understand how small, everyday habits can lead to long-term environmental benefits. ♻️🌱

🌱 “एक झाड स्वतःसाठी” (One Tree for Ourselves) is officially underway!

The initiative has received an incredible response, and native tree plantation is now actively happening across the region. With 300 saplings successfully arranged and their plantation planned, beautiful native species like Vad, Pimpal, Niv (Kadamba), Saatveen, Tamhan, Bakul, Bahawa, Sonchafa, Jambhul, Kanchan, Pangara, Umbar, Sita Ashok, Chinch, Aawla, and Bel are all set to take root.

Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra is providing healthy, 3-year-old native saplings (approx. 5 feet tall) alongside expert plantation guidance and on-ground support.

💚 How Can You Participate?

✅ Support via Donation: We will plant and nurture trees in the Chiplun region on your behalf.
✅ Provide Land for Plantation: If you have available land in or around Chiplun, we can carry out plantation drives there.
✅ Get Saplings & Guidance: Receive sturdy native saplings along with proper planting and maintenance guidance.
✅ Plant & Protect Yourself: Plant at least one tree and take responsibility for nurturing it. Saplings will be provided to those committed to plantation and care.
