‘Mrittika’ – The Voice of SBA Foundation
‘Mrittika’ is SBA Foundation’s own platform for expression. During the COVID lockdown, when we were confined within our homes in constant anxiety, we began to speak — to express. Mrittika has since aimed to reach people through both print and digital media, in a simple and accessible form. That’s how our webzine was born.
Its content has varied — sometimes poetry, sometimes paintings, sometimes photography, and at times, theme-based prose.
So far, we have published six web issues and three printed editions of Mrittika on various subjects.
The theme of our fourth issue was Photography.
And once again, the theme for our tenth issue is Photography.
Every publication follows certain guidelines, and so does this one:
1. The photographer’s name must be clearly mentioned in the email submission.
2. Submission Deadline: All photographs must be submitted by 15 January 2026.
3. Photos can only be submitted via email, Google Drive, or directly to any member of SBA Foundation through a USB drive. Other means of submission will not be accepted.
Submission address: [email protected]
4. If a photographer wishes to tell a story through a series of photographs, it is most welcome. However, individual photographs are equally appreciated.
5. Providing captions is entirely up to the photographer.
6. You may submit a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 photographs.
7. We invite you to send your photographs — not only experienced photographers but anyone who loves taking pictures. However, the decision of which photos will be featured on the blog rests entirely with Mrittika.
8. Photos may be taken with either a phone or a camera — both are acceptable. But only original copies will be accepted. Any copies downloaded from social media platforms (such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.) will not be considered due to resolution and quality issues.
9. Portraits of people will be accepted only if they rise to the level of art — if they transcend the individual and evoke something beyond the person depicted. Otherwise, simple personal portraits will not be accepted.
10. Any photo containing a mobile company’s logo will not be accepted.
