Some teachers never leave our memories—they become a part of who we are.

For every student of St. Ursula High School from the 80s and 90s, PT teacher Sawant Sir was one such unforgettable name.

Strict, disciplined, and tough on the outside… yet humble, kind, and soft at heart. His presence on the ground commanded respect, and his lessons went far beyond PT periods—they shaped character, discipline, and life itself.

A Retired Army Officer and Instructor from Army Physical Training Corps, Pune (Ramtekdi), Sawant Sir was a featherweight Services Boxer and also served as an instructor at the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, and Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

His dedication, values, and unmatched spirit left an unimaginable impact on generations of students.

Legends like Sawant Sir are not just remembered—they are cherished forever.

Dear SUEXSA Family,

A deeply meaningful moment for all of us today… 🌱

The old mango tree 🌳 in our school campus, which held so many childhood memories for generations of students, had unfortunately fallen.

Understanding the emotional value it carried for all of us, Respected Sister Rekha has thoughtfully taken the initiative to plant a *new mango tree* 🥭 in its place.

This new sapling symbolizes not just a tree, but the continuation of the memories, laughter, friendships and countless moments we all shared under its shade during our school days.

A special note of gratitude to Architect Shekhar Kokane and Mr. Rahul Kocheta for their kind assistance and support in making this possible.
