During Poshan Pakhwada 2025, an insightful lecture series was held today featuring Dr. Seema Singh, a renowned gynaecologist from Chhapra Sadar Hospital, who spoke on the crucial topic of "Nutrition during the First 1000 Days of Life." Following this, Dr. Prahrisht Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor in the Botany Department, gave lecture on "Prevention of Obesity during Childhood through a Healthy Lifestyle." Programme officer, Dr. Rajshree Singh, in her address provided valuable insights into the history and objectives of Poshan Mission or National Nutrition Mission. To further engage the students, a poster/painting competition centered on these vital themes was also organized. In the poster/ painting competition Jyotsana Kumari secured first position, Ayush Ranjan Parbat stood second and third position was jointly given to Simran Kumari and Shalu Singh. Both the programmes were jointly organised by programme officers of NSS unit 1 and 2 , Dr. Rajeev Kumar Gupta and Dr. Rajshree Singh respectively under the guidance and support of Principal Prof.(Dr.) K. P. Srivastava.
