This week, we distributed 300 bedsheets to the Yenadi tribe of Pulicat Lagoon with the support of Aram Porul and two donors.

The tribal community lives by the resources of the wetlands. They have the most thorough vernacular knowledge of the NE monsoon.

Sustainable Development through Cultural Heritage is the our mission. More than 120 fisherwomen are empowered through our palm-leaf craft promotion. We maintain Pulicat-Museum at Pazhaverkadu and organise various annual events for the inhabitants and city-dwellers. 1) World Wetlands Day - Feburary 2) Lagoon Cleanup Day - September 3) Trace Origin of Madras - August 4) Youth Volleyball Tournament - July 5) International Women’s Day - March Our Research on the Wetland and Ecosystem of Lagoon has been published as a book, and articles in various newspapers.
