World Hunger Day – Nourishing Children, Building Hope
On the occasion of World Hunger Day, No Food Waste partnered with Toast to support 70 children from the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB), Kannagi Nagar, through a nutrition kit distribution initiative.
The initiative began with a nutrition kit packing drive at the Toast office, where 15 employee volunteers came together to carefully pack 70 nutrition kits. This effort was made possible through the generous contributions of Toast employees and their commitment to creating a positive community impact.
The nutrition kits were later distributed during an engaging activity session supported by 16 volunteers and students from Turning Point Tuition Center, bringing joy, learning, and meaningful interaction to the children.
World Hunger Day serves as a reminder that hunger is not only about the absence of food—it is also about access to adequate nutrition. Through initiatives like these, we strive to support children's health, growth, and well-being while fostering stronger communities through collective action.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Toast team for their generosity and enthusiastic participation, to the students and volunteers from Turning Point Tuition Center for making the day memorable, and to the TNUHDB staff for their continuous support and coordination.
