We are delighted to celebrate an outstanding achievement by Govt. Higher Secondary School, Athanavoor, Yelagiri Hills, one of our school hubs, for winning the Jolarpet Zonal Football Tournament organized by the Tamil Nadu School Education Department.

It was a proud moment for us to have Indumathi Kathiresan as the chief guest at our recently held Nari Shakti Football Trophy. She has been representing the Indian women’s national football team since 2014 and has been an integral part of multiple editions of the SAFF Women’s Championship, bringing pride to the nation through her consistent performances and achievements.

Beyond the field, her contributions are equally commendable, as she serves as a Sub-Inspector of Police in Tamil Nadu. We sincerely thank her for gracing the event with her presence and inspiring the players through her motivating words and encouragement.

A true symbol of women’s empowerment, her presence left a lasting impact and motivated all the women players on the day of the event.

The finals of the recently held Nari Shakti Trophy between Immaculate A and Victory Sports Foundation delivered an exhilarating showdown. Both teams battled fiercely throughout the tournament, earning their spots in the finals with impressive performances.

Immaculate A ultimately claimed the championship, outperforming Victory Sports Foundation with a strong performance. We congratulate Immaculate A on winning the trophy. We applaud all the teams for their spirited participation, hard work, and exemplary sportsmanship.

On the occasion of Women’s Day, Victory Sports Foundation, Aymat Journey Foundation, and Don Bosco Arts and Science College Kilpauk jointly organized the Nari Shakti Women’s 9-a-side Football Tournament on March 28. The event was conducted with great enthusiasm, bringing together 10 teams from Chennai, Tirupattur, Kanchipuram, and Tiruvallur districts, with over 150 women players showcasing their talent, passion, and determination on the field.

Immaculate A Team emerged as champions, with Victory Sports Foundation as runners-up, and individual awards were presented for outstanding performances. We thank our chief guests for inspiring the participants. It was truly a day celebrating the strength, talent, and spirit of women! The tournament highlighted the growing enthusiasm for women’s football and reinforced the importance of creating more opportunities for women in sports. We look forward to organizing more such events that empower and celebrate women athletes.
