ஆறு மாதங்களுக்கு என ஆரம்பித்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள Manual PRCP வசதி, ஓய்வு பெற்ற ரயில்வே ஊழியர்கள் விரும்பும் வரை தொடர்ந்து கிடைக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக SRMU தனது போராட்டத்தை தொடரும்.

ஓய்வு பெற்றோர், குடும்ப ஓய்வூதியதாரர்கள் மற்றும் தகுதியுடைய பயனாளிகளின் உரிமை, வசதி மற்றும் நலனுக்காக SRMU தொடர்ந்து குரல் கொடுக்கும்.

Six months is only the beginning. SRMU will continue to fight until retired railway employees receive this facility for as long as they need it.

Good News to All Employees!

Through the continuous efforts of SRMU, new welfare facilities are being introduced at the GM/DRM Headquarters & Divisional Offices NGO Canteen.

Mini meals will be available during the lunch session at an affordable price of ₹20 only, limited to 50 employees per day. Evening snacks will also be served with tea from 3:00 PM onwards.

Further improvements, including better food quality, upgraded infrastructure, water dispensers, air conditioning, POS facilities, improved seating, lighting and ventilation, are also in the pipeline.

Healthcare for Railwaymen — Our Fight, Their Life!

SRMU–AIRF continues its commitment to improving healthcare, safety and welfare facilities for railway employees, their families and beneficiaries.

The General Secretary explained the importance of the life-saving Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) procedure for treating severely calcified coronary arteries and highlighted the need to introduce this advanced facility at RH/PER.

PCMD stated that Non-Compliant Balloon Dilatation, Cutting Balloon Angioplasty, Scoring Balloon Angioplasty and Rotational Atherectomy are currently available for treating calcified coronary vessels. PCMD also agreed to pursue the procurement of IVL under Railway Board sanction, with the proposal to be endorsed to the President/AIRF for further follow-up.

GM-PNM Achievement of SRMU

Happy news for Station Masters and Pointsmen across Southern Railway.

SRMU has successfully restored the leave-sanctioning powers of Station Masters and Traffic Inspectors through GM-PNM under Sub. No. 7(E)/84/2021 and 10(B)/2017.

✅ Supervisory SS can sanction leave for up to 14 days, subject to proper duty management.
✅ At wayside stations where no SS is available, the Section TI can sanction leave, with communication made at least one week in advance.
✅ When this is not possible, the matter should be informed to the Sr. DOM.

This achievement safeguards the leave rights of Station Masters, Pointsmen and railway workers across Southern Railway.

Not only HQRs offices—all Administrative Offices deserve proper air-conditioning and suitable working conditions.

Through the GM-PNM forum, SRMU raised the need for adequate ventilation, air-conditioning and climate-suitable furniture in Railway offices. The PCEE clarified that Railways may decide their air-conditioning requirements with the approval of the concerned Divisional Railway Manager or General Manager.

SRMU is not a parochial union demanding facilities for only one section. SRMU stands for all—and demands AC for all.

HRMS மூலம் e-Pass பெறுவதில் சிக்கல் ஏற்படும் இடங்களில், இடைக்கால நடவடிக்கையாக Manual Pass வழங்க ரயில்வே வாரியம் அனுமதி அளித்துள்ளது.

GM/PNM UPDATE – A Strong Step for TTE Welfare

SRMU raised the issue of unnecessary earnings pressure being placed on TTEs and clearly stated that the primary responsibility of Sleeper and Coach Manning TTEs is passenger service, coach manning and preventing unauthorised entry—not achieving earnings targets.

SRMU also highlighted the repeated pressure faced by TTEs in the MAS Division and the transfer of Station TTEs for non-achievement of targets.

Following SRMU’s representation, PCCM assured that:

• Earnings targets for Coach Manning TTEs will be reviewed.
• Appropriate instructions will be issued to all Divisions.
• The issue in the MAS Division will be resolved.
• The earlier GM/PNM decision under Subject No. 16/2009 will be reiterated to the Divisions.

SRMU continues to stand firmly for the dignity, welfare and fair working conditions of railway employees.

Historic Achievement for Station Masters!
