গত ১৬ই আগস্ট সন্ধ্যায় 'দ্য বেঙ্গল অ্যাসোসিয়েশন'-এর উদ্যোগে একটি সাহিত্য সভার আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল। অনুষ্ঠানটি সঞ্চালনা করেন সংস্থার বার্ষিক পত্রিকা 'দক্ষিণের দর্পণ'-এর সম্পাদক ডঃ তিমির ভট্টাচার্য।

​অনুষ্ঠানে সংস্থার সদস্য-সদস্যারা বাংলা গান, কবিতা, শ্রুতিনাটক, রম্যরচনা এবং ছোটগল্প পরিবেশন করেন।
​দ্য বেঙ্গল অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি ডঃ শুভ্রা বিশ্বাস এবং সম্পাদক শ্রী তরুণ দাস সকল অংশগ্রহণকারীদের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন।
এর পাশাপাশি তাঁরা সদস্যদের বার্ষিক পত্রিকা 'দক্ষিণের দর্পণ'-এ লেখা পাঠানোর জন্য উৎসাহিত করেন।
