Honouring Excellence. Inspiring Futures.

LEAF is proud to announce the KPN Memorial Award, instituted in loving memory of K. Parameswaran Nair, to recognise and encourage outstanding students from Government Higher Secondary Schools.

This award celebrates the Best Outgoing Student who has demonstrated excellence in academics along with commendable participation in extracurricular activities. The award includes a cash prize of ₹10,000, a certificate, and a momento as a token of recognition and encouragement.

This ceremony, held in Trivandrum, Kerala, marks the first award initiative by LEAF, launched with the generous support of donors who wished to contribute meaningfully to students in Government schools and promote educational empowerment.

In addition to the main award, two runner-up students were also honoured to recognise their dedication and potential. Through this initiative, LEAF hopes to send a strong message to every student — believe in yourself, because your dreams are valid and achievable.

This award not only serves as a tribute to the donor’s vision but also as a source of motivation and confidence for young minds stepping into their future.

🌱 LEAF is committed to continuing this initiative every year, and more such award ceremonies in Government schools are already planned for the coming months.

🙏 Our heartfelt thanks to all our donors, Vattiyoorkavu GVHSS Principal and other supporters for helping LEAF work towards building a brighter and more hopeful future for students.

Hamsa lives with her parents in the interior parts of Vandalur, near Chennai, where resilience quietly shapes their everyday life. Her father, a visually challenged man, never allowed his disability to define his limits; with unwavering determination, he ensured that his daughter received a good education. Today, Hamsa works as a System Administrator in the purchase section at Tagore Medical College, earning a modest income. Because her workplace is close to home, she continues there, balancing her professional responsibilities with the role of being the sole support for her parents, who depend entirely on her care and strength. When Leaf NGO reached out to them with donated pre-loved furniture, their joy was immeasurable. With teary gratitude, Hamsa shared that she could never have afforded new furniture’s and that these pieces would remain useful even after her marriage. She expressed heartfelt thanks to the donors who gave so generously, free of cost. Stories like Hamsa’s remind us that despite disability or financial hardship, people often carry profound dignity, faith, and gratitude within them—finding happiness in what they have and hope in every opportunity. For Leaf NGO, it was a humbling privilege to serve a family that stands tall with quiet courage and grace.

“Actions Speak Louder than Words”

received an opportunity to help the Government Primary Health center (PHC) Pachanampatti village, Omalur taluk , Salem dt; by supplying with the Hand sanitisers.

The PHC, which has 100+ visitors (patients/attenders) on a daily basis, had no supply of hand sanitisers at the time of our patron’s visit. On enquiry, the PHC incharge has informed us that the sanitisers are not delivered by the authorised person and so they are often unavailable; despite of many concerns raised.

In this pandemic situation, especially in hospitals, sanitisers are mandatory. The PHC, being located in a village shouldn’t be ignored for such basic supplies at this COVID 19 hour.

has decided to make the concerned authorities know about this issue and meantime, supplied few bottles of sanitisers for the present usage.

patron Ms Indhuja had visited the PHC, learnt about this issue, informed us and supplied the sanitisers in need. Her actions are appreciated. 👏🏻👏🏻
