Hearts were full & smiles brighter @ our Seniors Support Program!! From joyful games & heartfelt sharing to encouraging words & a loving meal, it was a beautiful day of hope, connection & care. Grateful to walk alongside our seniors in our surrounding community & remind them they are seen, loved & never alone

As a little girl, Valli was sent to work as a domestic laborer by a rice mill owner in exchange for money her mother borrowed. She longed to go to school, to study like other children—but was forced to work, even through illness.

“I love studies,” she says. “I wanted to study. They didn’t give me rest… One day I couldn’t work because I was sick, but they still forced me.”

Thankfully, Valli was rescued from bonded labour by IJM and found a home at KRUPA—where her dreams took root.

Today, Valli is thriving. She’s completed a Diploma Program in Early Childhood Care Education & is pursuing on the job training with focus on children with special needs at Sharon Community College. Valli is determined to shape the lives of other children—just as hers was reshaped.
