Born2Win Social Welfare Trust is a Transgender person led organization established in 2013. It works towards the empowerment of members of the Transgender community in Tamilnadu through facilitating education and employment opportunities for them. As a step towards this Born2Win also works towards creating positive role models from within the community.. Some of the key activities and achievements
of the organization to date are –
1. Trans* Achievers Awards in the years 2013, 2014, 2015 , 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 & 2022 felicitating 173 Trans* role models to date from across India & Sri Lanka.
2. Publication and sales of Trans* Achievers Calendar in the years 2014, 2015 , 2016 ,2017,2018 &2019 to raise funds. Total funds raised to the tune of Rs. 9,15,000. Amount donated for education of HIV+ children, Cancer afflicted children and education of Trans* women.
3. Education support for 6 Trans* women from Rs. 6000 to Rs. 60,000 for the year 2016.
4. Facilitated education opportunities for 2 Trans* women.
5. Facilitated job opportunities for 7 Trans* identified individuals.
6. Facilitated admission and finance for 6 Trans* women pursuing Diploma in Cosmetology.
7. Facilitated enrolment and finance for 2 Trans* men undergoing Driver Training.
8. Cultural programs for Government of Tamilnadu functions.
