Members of Rotary Club of United Chennai participated in the Lead 2025- Rotary India Leadership Conclave 2025, held on 23rd & 24th of August, 2025 at the Chennai Convention Centre, Nandambakkam. Rotary International President Rtn.Francesco Arezzo, First lady Anna Maria Arezzo-Criscione were present along with Rotary International Director - AKS Rtn.M.Muruganandam, Convenor - Lead 25 RILC and AKS Rtn. Lt KP Nagesh, Co-Convenor - Lead 25 RILC. Chief Guest for the inauguration was Thiru.Udayanidhi Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister and Guest of Honour Thiru.Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Min. for School Education, Tamilnadu.
Rotarians from over 5 countries, 44 Rotary International Districts, and over 2000 Clubs participated in the Lead 2025. Dignitaries such as Dr.V.Narayanan, Chairman ISRO; Indian Monk Shri.Gaur Gopal Das of ISKCON and various others participated in the Conclave along with several artists performed entertainment. Special program to meet & greet the RI President were organised on 24th August, 2025 at Hyatt Regency Chennai, attended by President Rtn.Arulkanth.J and Secretary Rtn.J.Gopikrishnan
Rotary United Chennai members had opportunity to Exchange flag with RC Guntur, RID 3150 (Andhra Pradesh, India) and RC Uva Hills, RID 3220 (Badulla, Srilanka). Lead 2025 was an amazing two days for the members to connect with fellow Rotarians from across various Rotary International districts and countries.

Rotary United Chennai's 3rd meeting was held on Friday, 22nd August, 2025 at The Residency, T.Nagar, Chennai. The meeting was presided by visiting District Official - Rtn.Balamurugan Kanakasabai from RC Madras Central Aadhitya, RID 3233. The meeting was attended by 18 members of the Club and 1 visiting Rotarian. The main agenda was on the upcoming Project of the Club - Siragugal - a talent showcase by over 150 intellectually-abled children from various special schools in the City. The project Chairman - IPP Rtn.Santhosh Kumar.K, Co-Chairman Rtn.Khalid, Mentor PP Rtn.Karthick Krishnan detailed on the arrangements done for the event on 13th Sept, 2025 at The Spastic Society of Tamilnadu, Taramani, Chennai 600113. The meeting also discussed the participation of members to Lead 2025 - Rotary India Leadership Conclave which is scheduled to happen on 23rd & 24th Aug, 2025 at the Chennai Convention Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai. RC United Chennai inducted 2 new members, viz, Rtn.Senthilnathan K.V. and Rtn.Prathap Duraisamy during this meeting. PP Rtn.Sreehari were honoured for being committed to complete regular walking goals and Rtn.Fiaz were honoured for being an inspiration on fitness. Wedding anniversary of Rtn.Raghuvarma and Birthday of Rtn.Santhosh were celebrated with them cutting a cake together. The meeting concluded with fellowship and dinner.

Rotary United Chennai members participated in 'The Heritage Hunt' - Rotary Dist 3233's Car Rally held on 10th Aug, 2025.
The Heritage Hunt is a Car Rally organised by Rotary International District 3233 covering a 20 kilometers route which celebrates Chennai’s rich heritage and to promote Peace. It is designed as a friendly city rally, spotlighting both iconic and lesser-known heritage landmarks, blending motorsport enthusiasm with cultural appreciation. It promises a day of team-work, sharing local history, promoting responsible driving, and Rotary fellowship- all while spreading the global message of world peace. Notably, this year the organisers are women in Rotary behind conceptualisation to ex*****on, with involvement of lady participants behind the wheel making it a unique event. Actor Mr.Ganesh Venkatram attended the event as special guest of the day and did ceremonial flag-off at 8:15am at Guru Nanak College, Velachery alongside Rotary District Governor Rtn.D.Devendran, Rotary District 3233 and District First Lady Archana Devendran and the Rally Chairman is Rtn.Lalitha Sriram, Rally Coordinator Rtn.Meena Alagu among those notable people who made this event successful. About 105 Cars participated and half of it were women behind the wheels, also in a significant collaboration of Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) partnered with Rotary for the Heritage Hunt, bringing decades of motorsport expertise, safety protocols, and credibility to the rally. Rotary District 3233 Governor Rtn.D.Devendran and Actor Ganesh Venkatram spoke in unison, about the need for Global Peace in the era of wars and conflicts world-wide. Rotary International is always in the forefront as one of its avenues is 'Conflict Resolution' and various activities are done worldwide to mitigate and assist conflicts. Actor Ganesh added, it is very surprising to see almost 500 people gathered on a Sunday morning for a cause even though it is a holiday people think of taking a break after a tiresome weeklong work and appreciated the women who worked hard to make this happen.

சிறகுகள் (Siragugal) is a project of Rotary Club of United Chennai which aims to showcase the talents of intellectually abled children from various special schools in and around Chennai. A one day project that witnesses special children sing, dance and showcase their natural talent to make their imprint that they are surely, absolutely part of the society. For the first time the club celebrates சிறகுகள் on 13th Sept, 2025 morning 9am onwards at The Spastic Society of Tamilnadu, Taramani, Chennai-600119.
