Objectives
Overall Objective: Eradication of Social Issues
The long term intention with which, our organization, “Thirutham” came into being was to eradicate all issues that inflicts harm to the society. Our duty is to ensure that social issues that being harm to the society are reduced to the minimum possible level. Moreover, our organization relies absolutely on human resource, to share knowled
ge thus, enhancing and reforming society. We have some methods in mind, by which we will have smaller objectives, which we will fulfill one by one, leading us to finally reach our overall objective.
1. Introduction
First, we want all our members to be fully aware of what we are doing, why we are doing it and how we are doing it. For this, our first objective directs us towards researching to know exactly what is happening and what we are meant to do. This will give us a good idea and clear view on the issue we are together to tackle. Eventually, as we begin thinking about the issues, questions will be raised and ideas encountered. These ideas, if feasible will be implemented and hence all the social issues inflicting harms to the society could be eradicated.
2. Steps adopted
Social issues as such, are a very broad spectrum clearly and thus, cannot be analyzed all at once. Our second objective therefore, aims at breaking down this huge problem, into smaller, more adoptable steps.
• The first, foremost and the most powerful tool, is to create awareness. This, we want to direct specifically towards students, who are tomorrow’s future and the public who play an important role in a democratic country like India. Also insist the people and students of middle class and above that to think about the people rest in poverty. We at “Thirutham” feel, that the students ought to know what they are studying and why. Also, they have a right to question, to learn the truth about society and should be taught ways in which they can overcome the issues they are facing.
• Once the students are made to analyze the situation and the difficulties they are undergoing, they will automatically be able to point to us where exactly it is that they are facing a problem. We will then supply the required assistance, either in the form of tutoring sessions or counseling.
• As far as we can, we will try to introduce necessary and aiding reformation in the curriculum and also provide necessary help to all deserving candidates. We will give them our point of view, solutions which will give them an optimistic side to the issues they are facing.
• Our next move will be to address the common people. Parents, teachers and all those people who may or may not be influencing the life of the children, also need to be fed with complete knowledge of facts about present social issues today.
• This will eventually result in minds being kindled, questions raised and problems addressed. o Our emphasis will be on, raising the bar- improving the social status of people and allowing them to enjoy equal rights in the society and an improved way of life.
• We want to give people a platform which makes them realize that they are not born to suffer.
3. Implementation
Once the concept is understood, we have to ensure that implementation is not elusive. This we will do by:
● Conducting regular sessions in the schools
● Keeping record of each student to note down the improvement from time to time
● Ensure that students grow with social awareness
● Make each individual completely aware and capable of questioning and confronting social issues
● Also, we will conduct activities, allowing the children to socialize and display their skills thereby, letting them know that they can specialize in the specific field that they’re talented in. We will guide them to work towards their goal.
● We also intend, to meet the general public, on a regular basis, discuss with them about various social issues and try to arrive at a solution.
● Also, words such as depression, su***de and stress are not meant to be part of a child’s dictionary and to solve such issues, counseling will be done appropriately.
● Essential books will be provided on free of cost and a research on scholarship system is done so that, thirutham would help the deserving candidates to acquire it, both in school and college levels.
