Our club IWC of Madras Bay City donated 150 bottles of shampoo worth *Rs. 8,250* for the health and hygiene of the inmates of Vishranti Old Age Home. In addition, our club member Mrs. Anusuya generously sponsored 50 blouse pieces worth *Rs. 4,500*, while our member Dt.ISO Udaya Lakshmi Pothur contributed 50 biscuit packets worth Rs. 500 along with a carrom board for the 150 residents of the home.

Our Past President, Mrs. Gargi’s son Mr.Varun generously donated Rs. 5,000 towards organizing a special lunch on 10th October for the residents of Sai Baba Gurukulam in Pozhichalur. His thoughtful gesture brought smiles and happiness to the 75 children, who enjoyed the lovingly prepared meal together. This act of kindness reflects his continued commitment to serving the community and spreading compassion through meaningful deeds.

*Inner Wheel Club of Madras Bay City contributed a sum of *Rs. 3,000* towards supporting the flood-affected communities in the northern region of India - Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh on the appeal from the Association. The flood affected area belongs to Inner Wheel District 307. This initiative was carried out as a *District project* by our Inner Wheel District 323,,. Through this contribution, our club joined hands with fellow Inner Wheel members to extend timely relief and solidarity to the affected families.

Our member Mrs. Bala Tripura Sundari, has collected essential medical items such as Diapers, Hand gloves, N95 Mask , wet tissues, thermometer, syringes etc for the well-being of the elders at Idhayavasal Old Age Home in Pallikaranai. 35 seniors have been benefited with the products given.

Inner Wheel Club of Madras Bay City conducted a health checkup and Breast and Cervical Cancer detection camp for the employees of TWAD board, Chepauk. 96 persons have benefited from this camp.

In the camp blood tests (RBS, CBC, LFT etc)Pap smears, mammograms, dental checkups, and general health checkups were performed.

The initiative aimed to create awareness about women’s health and the importance of early detection of cancer. A team of qualified doctors and technicians from *VS Multi Speciality Hospital* conducted the screening with great care and professionalism. The hospital organised a mobile mammogram unit in the premises.
Our club takes pride in organising such meaningful projects that promote health and wellbeing in the community.

Inner Wheel Club of Madras Bay City has contributed Rs.6500/- on 10th Sep 2025 towards one sitting of HCV Therapy for one child. HCV Therapy for 3 children is a joint project proposed by IWC District 323 lead by PDC Dr.Shashi Shyamsundar.The amount was sponsored by our club Charter President *Bala Tripura Sundari*

For Teacher's Day our club recognised all the teachers of the Corporation Primary School in Kannagi Nagar. All the 20 teachers were honoured with appreciation certificates and gifted with an ss tiffin carrier and an ss water bottle packed in a lunch bag. This was a small way of recognising the teachers who are shaping the future citizens. We spent Rs. 5,980/- and got contributions in kindly worth Rs. 800/-

Our club members participated in the Pookolam competition conducted by Inner Wheel Club of Adyar. It was not just about flowers, colours and creativity. It was a fund raiser.The proceeds will be supporting eye surgeries for the newborn babies. We are happy that we are contributing Rs. 1,000/- towards a noble cause.
