A Celiac Disease Awareness Program was held on 26th February 2026 at Hindu Rao Hospital, in partnership with the Department of Pediatrics and Celiac Support Organisation (CSO).
The session was led by Dr. Sushma Narayan, Dr. Naina Chakravarty, Dr. Arjun Maria, and Ms. Sonal Nakra, each offering valuable expertise from their respective domains and contributing to a well-rounded understanding of the condition.
We express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Peeyush Jain, Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Hindu Rao Hospital, for enabling this collaboration and supporting the successful conduct of the program.
The event reaffirmed our commitment to advancing awareness and strengthening early diagnosis and effective management of Celiac Disease. We look forward to many more such initiatives

8th Celiac awareness program at Neoclinic Children Hospital, 30th Nov 2025

Neo Clinic Children hospital Jaipur in Association with Indian Academy of Pediatrics Jaipur and Celiac support organisation, Nutrition Society of India Jaipur chapter and Ped Gastro Rajasthan jointly organised Annual Celiac Awareness Program on Sunday 30th November at Neoclinic Children Hospital in Jaipur.

The program was divided into 2 halves

The first half was dedicated to create awareness among patients and dietitians. This included a variety of activities like slogan competition for parents, poster competition for dietitians , recipe competition for dietitians and parents, identify your GQ (Grain Quotient) for all and Celiac quiz for kids. The morning session also included talks by experts in the field with ample opportunity to interact with each other. This was attended by close to 100 participants. The program ended with prize distribution and gluten free snacks.

The second half program was targeted to create awareness among pediatrician of Jaipur and included topics related to Current Celiac Guidelines, Future therapies in pipeline for Celiac, Atypical Celiac, difference between adult and pediatric Celiac, indication of gluten free diet in conditions other than CD and panel discussion on frequently asked questions. This was attended by close to 50 delegates.

The entire day was packed with an audience who experienced good sharing of knowledge about Celiac disease through different means.

The Celiac Awareness Program was conducted on 13th November 2025, at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, in collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics and the Celiac Support Organisation (CSO).

The session brought together key perspectives on Celiac Disease, its symptoms, diagnosis, psychological impact, and the cornerstone treatment: a strict, lifelong gluten-free diet. Speakers included Dr. Sushma Narayan, Dr. Naina Chakravarty, Dr. Sadaf Hameed, and Ms. Sonal Nakra, each contributing valuable insights from their fields.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Arvind Bountra, Director of Pediatrics, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, for facilitating this collaboration and helping make the event possible.

This program was designed to enhance clinical awareness and provide clear and evidence-based understanding of celiac disease, its symptoms, diagnostic considerations, and the treatment, enabling doctors and healthcare professionals to feel better equipped and empowered to support early identification and effective management of the celiac disease

12th Annual Meeting of the Indian Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (ISPGHAN) was held from 31st October to 2nd November 2025 at the Royal Orchid Convention Center, Yelahanka, Bangalore.

The Gastroenterology Update session was held on Sunday, 2nd November 2025, in Hall A, from 11:00 to 11:30 am. It featured Dr. Praveen Kumar, presenting on “Monitoring Celiac Disease on Follow-up: Newer Insights,” and Dr. Sushma Narayan, speaking on “Difficulties and Advantages of a Celiac Support Group.'

The prestigious ISPGHAN meet was spearheaded by Prof Yachcha & Dr Seema Alam and attended by several other members of CSO apart from Pediatric Gastroenterologists from all over India.

North zone Pedicon / PCNI ( Pediatric conference of North India) was held in Le Meridian Hotel on 30 th and 31 st August 2025. The team CSO was present in full force.
Prof. Praveen kumar and Dr Sushma Narayan were the leads in the session for Celiac Disease along with
Dr Richa Mittal and Dr Karunesh kumar.
Other CSO members such Dr Sarath Gopalan, Dr Vikas Jain, Dr Shivani Deswal, Dr Nidhi Rawal, Dr Arjun Maria and Dr Lokesh Sharma were also present.

CSO in collaboration with Chikitsa hospital conducted a successful awareness program on 11th July.
The program was attended by senior doctors of all specialties including gyne, Pediatrics, medicine and more.
The speakers included Dr. Sushma Narayan, Dr. Nidhi Rawal, Dr. Nidhi Singh, Dr. Naina Chakravarty and Ms Anjali Saini.
