She grew up in Tiruttani, a quiet village in Tamil Nadu, carrying a dream that often felt too loud for the world around her. But Dr. N. Jency chose education as her voice — and today, she’s made history.

From being mocked, misunderstood, and marginalised…
To now teaching as an Assistant Professor at Loyola College, Chennai —
Dr. Jency is Tamil Nadu’s first trans woman with a PhD.

“This is not just my victory — it belongs to my entire trans community,” she says.
And what a victory it is — built not on sympathy, but on sheer merit and determination.
She’s a gold medalist in both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and earned her PhD after years of dedication.

Her journey wasn’t easy. But every challenge she faced, she turned into a stepping stone.
She didn’t ask for space — she earned it.

To every trans person who’s been rejected or denied dignity, she shares a message that echoes with strength:
Don’t chase them away. Educate them.

Today, Dr. Jency isn’t just teaching English —
She’s teaching the world what courage, dignity, and real change look like.
