E.F.I's Beach Clean Up at Marina Beach, Chennai.

Over 450 volunteers joined us at Marina Beach and we removed over 300 kgs of non-bio degradable trash from this pristine coastal ecosystem. Plastic straws, covers, bottle caps, discarded slippers, candy wrappers, condoms, broken glass bottles were in large number.

E.F.I.'s Fatepura Van, Mahesana

Located to the north of the city, this land parcel was completely covered with Prosopis juliflora and had been encroached upon from all sides.

In collaboration with the Mahesana Municipal Corporation, we took over this land parcel, cleared the invasive vegetation, established borewells, and planted 7,000 native saplings, transforming the degraded landscape into a thriving green forest that will serve as a vital biodiversity habitat and a green lung for the city.

45+ young nation-builders joined us as we removed over 30 sack bags of non-biodegradable waste from this coastal ecosystem. Plastic covers, plastic spoons, and baby diapers were found in large numbers, highlighting the growing threat of plastic pollution to our beaches and marine life.

Every piece of litter removed is a step towards healthier oceans. Let us refuse single-use plastics, dispose of waste responsibly, and protect our coasts for future generations.
