Our charitable Trust was founded in March 2008 in Chennai, India. Although we are a broad based organization, our focus at the moment is to assist families whose children are suffering from congenital heart defects. Know about Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) :
- Heart Defects that develop before birth are known as Congenital Heart Defect (CHD).
- CHD arises due to the abnormal development of the hea

rt.
- CHD's are No.1 cause of birth defect related deaths.
- Approximately 9 out of 1000 new born are affected with CHD. Symptoms :
- Murmur or Abnormal sound in the heart.
- A bluish tint (slight coloring) to the skin, fingernails and lips.
- Lesions(any abnormality in the skin)
- Poor feeding and low in weight gain. Early diagnosis of babies with above mentioned symptoms using echo test identifies CHD immediately and could improve their survival as well as reducing morbidity(rate of incidents) by performing corrective surgery. Therefore, we have made it Aishwarya Trust's mission to provide financial assistance to enable these children to get corrective surgeries done at leading private hospitals. We feel that each child deserves the best available treatment. Official website : https://www.aishwaryatrust.org/

At Aishwarya Trust, our mission is to ensure that no child is denied life-saving care for Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) because of financial or systemic barriers.
Through regular screening camps across 11 districts of Tamil Nadu, we’re able to provide early diagnosis, comprehensive care, and corrective surgeries, all at no cost to families. We’ve successfully screened 12125 children and treated over 443 children across the region.
This has been possible with the continued support of Cognizant Foundation, enabling us to reach thousands of children. As they celebrate 20 years of empowerment, we are honoured to walk alongside them in this journey, saving little hearts and securing a healthier tomorrow.

Aishwarya Trust congratulates Ms. Viney Kirpal on the launch of a powerful new book, a curated and edited collection of true stories, titled New Life. New Beginnings. 🎉
Launched on Aug 2, 2025 in Pune by Dr. Suresh Rao, Associate Director, Department of Heart & Lung Transplant, MGM Hospital, Chennai — this book dives into a question few of us think about:
What happens after an organ transplant?
Through deeply personal, first-person accounts from heart, lung, liver, and kidney recipients, and conversations with living organ donors and top doctors, Ms. Kirpal — herself a heart transplant recipient and former IIT Mumbai professor — sheds light on the triumphs, struggles, and resilience of transplant survivors across India.
With practical insights, emotional depth, and a call for better support from the healthcare systems, this book aims to spark a national conversation on life after transplant.

Screening camps are a fundamental pillar of Aishwarya Trust’s initiative to combat congenital heart defects in children. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our corporate sponsor, Cognizant Foundation, for stepping up once again to support our recent CHD screening camp held in Tirunelveli on July 25, 2025. The District Early Intervention Center (DEIC) also played a crucial role by mobilizing children from nearby districts, including Kovilpatti and Thoothukudi.
A total of 120 children were screened for congenital heart defects. Of these, 23 new cases were identified, and these children were referred to MGM Hospital in Chennai for surgery or intervention. Additionally, 25 children who had previously received treatment at MGM Hospital attended the camp for follow-up care. The camp was inaugurated by the district collector, Shri R. Sukumar, and Dr. Revathy Balan, Dean of Tirunelveli Medical College. In his address, the district collector welcomed the parents and children, assuring them of high-quality care under the guidance of Dr. Rajesh Kumar. To watch a video clip from the event, click here: https://youtu.be/ID7dAif57bs?si=VHyRK8OTHyoUMg4E. It was truly heartwarming to see four members from the Cognizant Employee Volunteering Engagement team collaborate with the Aishwarya Trust team to ensure the camp ran efficiently. They assisted the doctors and managed the young patients and their families. Dr. Rajesh Kumar led the Aishwarya Trust team, with support from Gokulakannan, Priya, and Kartik. The volunteers brought a lot of energy and joy to the screening camp.
