2026 Women’s Day celebrations filled with energy, learning, and community spirit! 💜🌸

SIAAP, through the Malargal Project, brought together 200+ women across two vibrant events to celebrate strength, resilience, and empowerment.

The programs featured fun games, dance, poetry, and awareness street plays focusing on key themes like domestic violence awareness, substance abuse prevention, mental health, HPV vaccination, cervical screening, and breast self-examination.

We were honored by the presence of our special guests Ms. Rubini, Officer from the one stopCentre, and Mr. Veerakumar from the Police Boys & Girls Club, Tamil Nadu Police, whose inspiring words added great value to the celebration.

From laughter-filled games to powerful performances by children and women from the community, the events truly celebrated the power and pride of women. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to all participants and supporters, including the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, for making this celebration meaningful.

Children taking the lead for change!🙌
SIAAP, in collaboration with the Police Boys & Girls Club, conducted a vibrant flash mob at Pondy Bazaar, T. Nagar, with around 40 children raising awareness on child safety, child rights, and mobility, with special focus on girl children accessing public spaces safely.
The energy was contagious as the children performed confidently and members of the public stopped, watched, and even joined in support of the message.
A small performance, a powerful reminder:
Safe spaces belong to children too. 💜

“LIFE IS TOUGH” in the Perumbakkam resettlement area in Chennai, where poverty, broken homes, and violence are common. Girls rarely step out of their houses due to fear, and boys drift away from school and wander around. To address these concerns, two months ago, SIAAP started a football coaching program, in which 50 children regularly participate, and the number is rapidly growing. yet, many lack basic gear including football shoes and jerseys. Your support can help them stay in the game! We welcome donations of used sports shoes and jerseys to help these young players keep playing the game!

Celebrating community football at perumbakkam!
In a fantastic celebration of the newly developed football field, SIAAP collaborated with Dr. Ambedkar Football Club in Perumbakkam resettlement area to host an exciting one-day tournament for budding football stars! Competitions were held across three age groups—U-9, U-12, and U-17—with young players showcasing their talent, teamwork, and passion for the game.
We were honoured to have distinguished guests join us: Coach Anto, former Indian footballer; Sub Inspector from the local police station; and Mr. Vinoth Kumar along with esteemed coaches responsible for state-level sports development from TNUHDB, who gave away prizes to our outstanding winners.
A special moment was the felicitation of Sudarshan, whose footballing journey started with the club, has been selected to represent in the U-17 National Level Football Competition by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI). He was awarded a memento as a token of pride and support!
SIAAP extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, played and cheered – marking a memorable beginning for community football!

On April 13th, 2024, we provided HPV vaccination to 18 adolescent girls and conducted Breast Cancer & Cervical Cancer screenings for 50 women from our AIR Nagar Tsunami Quarters. 💪🩺

Our SIAAP's Malarkal program shines bright as our incredible kids from Tsunami Quarters Ernavur dominate the track and field at the FIT India - TN Kiddos Athletic Fest! 🌟

With our 17 fierce competitors, we snagged an impressive haul of 3 golds, 5 silvers, and 2 bronzes, one of our champions also won the overall championship title! 🥇
