SiFo Siruthuligal Foundation Page SiFo is the official page for Siruthuligal Foundation Siruthuligal Foundation (SF) is a Chennai based NGO, founded in 2015 by a group of friends.

We sponsor education expense for economically underprivileged students, set up and run free Tution centres (Theruvilakku Learning Centre) at remote villages, support old age homes, contribute green environment by panting trees and provide support during natural calamity.

SiFo students Anusha and Geetha get appreciation from Yevvi NGO for the online tuitions for visually challenged school student Asvath for succesfui 11th and 12th std completion.

Together, we made it possible

In 2025, we received a request about a student name Ashwanth from a remote part of Tamil Nadu. He had lost nearly 90% of his eyesight due to a tumor and had only 5–10% vision remaining. Despite this, he wished to continue his education and complete his schooling.

He was studying in 11th standard and needed mentoring support for the subjects Accountancy, Economics and Commerce.

We reached out to Siruthuligal Foundation who connected two college students Anusha and Geetha to mentor him. With their support, he successfully passed his 11th standard.

When he moved to 12th standard, the journey became harder. He needed more support. Yevvi’s volunteering team found three more people Mahalakshmi, Sri Vijayalakshmi and Uma Sriram who came forward to help.

Five people from Chennai, Thanjavur and Surat joined hands and connected with the student through mobile calls. They called him , read the lessons, explained the subjects, listened to him, and encouraged him through difficult days.

For four months, they continued this support.

Finally, the student passed his 12th standard exams.

This achievement is not just about marks or exams. It is the power of showing up for someone in need.
