World Environment Day Celebration – Kolar Region 🌏🎊
On the occasion of World Environment Day, awareness programs were organized at Mavahalli and Nayakarahalli villages of Bangarpet Block and Kudiyanur Villages Malur Block in collaboration with the respective Local Panchayats, Veterinary Doctor, CFL team.
The program focused on creating awareness about environmental conservation, sustainable practices, and the importance of increasing green cover through tree plantation. Participants were encouraged to take responsibility for protecting natural resources and maintaining a healthy environment.
A total of 145 members from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Vayalagams actively participated in the events. As part of the celebration, Curry Leaves saplings were distributed to all participants to promote household-level tree planting and environmental stewardship.
The program successfully enhanced environmental awareness among community members and encouraged them to contribute towards a greener and healthier environment.
