Stories Of Change | Where Challenges Rise, So Do Extraordinary Children ❤️
When life became difficult for Oviya, a 9th standard student at the Chudar Kotturpuram Centre, she chose not to break — she chose to rise.
Her father, a hardworking driver, met with a severe accident that left him unable to work. Overnight, the family’s income disappeared, and survival became a daily concern. In this moment of crisis, her mother — once a homemaker — stepped forward with courage and began working as a tutor at the very same Chudar centre. Today, she is the sole earning member, supporting both Oviya and her younger sister.
At Chudar, Oviya found hope and belief. The free worksheets, video lessons, and blended learning methods made subjects like Mathematics easy and enjoyable. She often says these classes give her the same confidence — sometimes even more — than students who attend expensive tuition centres.
She attempted the NMMS scholarship exam and didn’t qualify — but she didn’t let that become her stopping point. Instead, she has begun preparing for NEET through YouTube, determined to work harder and chase her dream.
For Oviya, becoming a doctor is not just a goal.
It is her promise — to support her family, care for her father, and lighten her mother’s burden.
Her journey reminds us that extraordinary children don’t wait for perfect circumstances.
They rise because of the challenges they face.
And with the right support, their dreams can transform the entire family.
