7 Areas of Focus Report

Project 1- Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
Deep Cleaning of School Toilets

As part of Rotary’s commitment to promoting Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), the Rotary Club of Chennai Capital successfully undertook a comprehensive deep-cleaning initiative of 90 toilets at Jai Gopal Garodia Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Virugambakkam, Chennai.

This impactful project was meticulously coordinated and executed by Rtn. Karthik and Rtn. Veerashivaji, with generous support from our long-standing donor, BPCL.

The school administration conveyed its heartfelt appreciation through a formal letter, acknowledging the remarkable improvement in hygiene standards. The initiative has effectively eliminated persistent foul odours and significantly enhanced sanitation, creating a healthier and more hygienic environment for approximately 2,800 students and 100 teachers.

Through meaningful partnerships and dedicated service, we continue to create healthier learning environments and improve the quality of life for our communities.

Together, We Create Lasting Impact through Service Above Self.

🏏 Capital T100 – Season 2
A Celebration of Cricket 🏏 & Fellowship👬

Capital T100 Season 2, hosted by the Rotary Club of Chennai Capital, brought together Rotarians from Districts 3233 & 3234 for five exhilarating days of competitive cricket, friendship, fellowship and fun.

The tournament featured India’s first pink leather-ball cricket 🏏 tournament for Rotarians, played in an exciting 100-ball format across three premier Chennai turf grounds.
With an IPL-style auction, trophy unveiling, enthusiastic teams and more than 30 Rotary members taking the field, the tournament created an unforgettable sporting experience.

Beyond the cricket 🦗 it was the fellowship and camaraderie that truly made Capital T100 special — strategy meets, birthdays on the field, fantastic hospitality, great food and new teams and players coming together as one Capital family.

After five gruelling days, the tournament culminated in a memorable Grand Finals.
Titan Surge lifted the Capital Cup 🏆 Idea Housing Hawks won the President’s Cup 🏆 and
Chennai Capitals took home the Tabler’s Cup 🏆

A special touch on finals day was the foot 🦶 reflexology session for players, while exclusive toss coins and silver awards added to the excitement and recognition of outstanding performances.

Capital T100 Season 2 was much more than a cricket tournament — it was a celebration of Rotary spirit, sporting passion, friendship and fellowship, creating memories that will last long after the final over. #
