Kolping India National Coordination Meeting at Manapakkam, Chennai on 11th and 12th June 2025

Mr. Franz Marginter - Managing Director, Kolpinghaus Ferlach, a part of Kolping Österreich in Austria along 11 others visited Kolping India National Office on 27th February 2025. They were impressed by the work of Kolping India to empower the women through generation of self employment avenues, strengthening the Kolping Family Associations with knowledge and skills. We were specially moved by the gesture of Mr. Franz for sharing the work of Kolpinghaus Ferlach and bringing us best wishes from Kolping Österreich. This type of meetings and exchanges reaffirms our belief that Kolping is a “One Global Family”.

The grand opening of Kolping Marketing Outlet was held on 10th January 2025. Establishing Kolping Product Outlet is an new initiative by Kolping India in collaboration with the Kottar Kolping to develop a formal market for the products produced primarily by our Kolping Members in Kottar Kolping Region and elsewhere. The Kolping Market Outlet named as Adolph Kolping Shop was inaugurated by Dr. Maria Soosai in the presence of Fr. Antroose, Director of Kottar Kolping, Fr.Penno Raj, The Executive Director of KSSS, Staff of Kottar Kolping and Kottar Kolping DLKF members. The Outlet located at KSSS Complex, Chettikulam will be managed by 4 Kolping members under the guidance of Kottar DLKF and Kottar Kolping.

Dr. Maria Soosai, distributed saplings to Kottar Kolping Federation Members to promote green environment in their respective villages on 10th January 2025. The 80 Kolping members planted the saplings on the common village land and pledged to take care of the plants until they grow into strong, healthy trees, ensuring a sustainable and greener future for their communities.

Kolping Members of Narikuravar Community from Pallavaram, Chennai received Entrepreneurship Development training on 18th December 2024 at Kolping India National Centre. Concluding the session, the National Director distributed financial support for the 20 members who had ideated their plans to initiate or diversify their business.

Happy to share that Dr. Maria Soosai has been unanimously elected for the second term as National Director of Kolping India in the Election held on 10th December 2024. Along with Dr. Maria Soosai, 11 Newly elected Board Members were inducted in the National Board of Kolping India.

The National Level Training cm Coordination Meeting of Kolping India Collaboration Partner Organisations was held on 10th and 11th December 2024 at Joe Beach Resort, Mahabalipuram. The meeting helped to review the progress of the projects implemented in 33 Kolping regions and exchange ideas and creative initiatives implemented in the Regions.
