In Loving Memory of Ms. Shanthi Rajmohan 💙🕊️

Today, we remember not only a courageous dialysis warrior but also a mentor, teacher, and friend who touched countless lives with her compassion.

Living with Peritoneal Dialysis since 2003, Ms. Shanthi Rajmohan transformed her personal journey into a mission of hope. Through her training sessions on self-care for caregivers and dialysis patients, she empowered families with knowledge, confidence, and strength.

Her kindness, resilience, and unwavering spirit reminded us that true courage is found in lifting others, even while facing life’s own challenges.

At TANKER Foundation, we were privileged to learn from her, work alongside her, and witness the incredible difference she made in the lives of so many.

Her legacy will continue to inspire every patient, caregiver, and healthcare professional who believes in the power of compassion.

Our heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.

May her noble soul rest in eternal peace.

You can’t pour from an empty cup. 💙

This World Self-Care Day, we shine a light on the people who spend so much of their lives caring for others—caregivers.

In this special video, Shanthi Rajmohan shares why self-care is not a luxury for caregivers, but a necessity. Taking care of your own physical, emotional, and mental well-being enables you to continue caring for your loved ones with strength, compassion, and resilience.

This awareness video was created with the support of TANKER Foundation and BALM Academy to encourage healthier, more sustainable caregiving.

Let’s remember: caring for yourself is also an act of caring for others.

Early detection can save lives.

TANKER Foundation conducted a Kidney Health Screening Camp at the Community Hall, Karunilam, Chengalpattu District, benefiting 74 members of the public.

Organised in collaboration with Anna University NSS students, the camp included Random Blood Sugar (RBS), Blood Pressure (BP), Body Mass Index (BMI), and urine analysis to identify individuals at risk of diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and kidney disease.

The programme was led by Dr. Thirunavukarasu, with the support of the TAPP team, Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa, along with volunteers Mrs. Bharani Priya and Ms. Kavirtha from ANEW, Thoraipakkam.

The screening identified several individuals with elevated blood sugar, high blood pressure, and abnormal urine test findings, enabling timely referrals for further medical evaluation and treatment.

At TANKER Foundation, we believe that awareness, screening, and early intervention are key to preventing kidney disease and building healthier communities.
