We are a group of people living in Chennai who came to this city to earn a living. We wish to return something to this society which has accommodated us.This is one of the biggest cities in India with a lot of advantages for its people.However, it has a lot of needy and poor. ✨ From Chennai to Milan – Fajila’s Flight to Success! ✨

We are proud to celebrate Ms. Fajila's achievement, who has earned admission to the prestigious Politecnico di Milano, Italy, to pursue Architectural Engineering – supported through Oruma’s flagship Fly High initiative. 🌍✈️

To honor her success, a memento was presented to Fajila by Mr. T.P. Yunus (President – JIH Wayanad District) and Mr. P.K. Ashraf (North Area President – Oruma Charitable Trust). 🏆

Fly High – Career Guidance Program for Students of Grades 9th–12th in Chennai

Under the banner of Oruma Charitable Trust, a career guidance program was conducted in Chennai for students of Classes 9 to 12. The session was led by Mr. Anwar P.K., Career Counselor from the Centre for Information and Guidance India (CIGI), who engaged with students on the theme “How to Plan Your Career.” His talk offered practical insights on charting a career, recognizing professional options, and selecting suitable courses and institutions to achieve their ambitions.

To expand the students’ exposure, a panel discussion was also organized. The panel featured Dr. Nabeel, Advocate Althaf, Dr. Sukhaina, Mr. Sagheer A.I., Mr. Abdussalam, and Mr. Erfan Mohiyudeen, who shared perspectives on career avenues in biomedical engineering, law, epidemiology, business, software, and data science. The panel was coordinated by Mr. Adil Abdul Hameed.

The program further included an interactive career networking session titled “Know Your Horizon,” which allowed students to meet professionals and ask detailed questions. Alongside the panelists, experts from areas such as sociology, chemistry, vehicle electronics, data engineering, IT, mechanical engineering, economics, and oceanography joined. Among them were Dr. M.N. Harris, Dr. Jahfar Ali, Mr. Waseem Abdul Rasheed, Mr. Shahid U.V., Mr. Shajeer K., Ms. Shivapriya S. Nair, Mr. Shabeeb T., Mr. Jafar K., Dr. Naseef, and Dr. Noujas.

The program commenced at 9:00 a.m. with a welcome note by Mr. Waseem Abdul Rasheed, President – Oruma Pallavakkam Velachery Unit, and was formally inaugurated by Dr. Anwar Sadath, Associate Professor and Director – Internal Quality Assurance Cell, The New College, Chennai. On behalf of Oruma, Mr. Mohammed Shafi P.T., President – Oruma, offered his greetings for the event.

More than 40 students and their parents joined the program. The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Shabeeb T., President – Oruma South Area. The session concluded at 2:00 p.m. with lunch. The event was coordinated overall by Mr. Adil Abdul Hameed.

🟢 Feed the Need – Healing Hunger, Spreading Hope 🟢

We are pleased to share that the Oruma Charitable Trust successfully carried out its 9⃣th Feed the Need initiative on 23rd August 2025 at Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital, Chennai, in the esteemed presence of Mr. Manoj Komban – Executive Member, All India Malayalee Association Tamil Nadu and , Chennai Pain and Palliative, who graciously joined the event.

With the grace of Almighty, we served wholesome meals to nearly 400–500 patients and their caregivers, offering not just food, but comfort and care during their time of need.

Parents and Teachers from Focus Moral School, Tambaram Unit volunteered, exemplifying the spirit of service and compassion.

Oruma Charitable Trust - Community Empowerment Project

As part of the Community Empowerment Project, Oruma Charitable Trust in collaboration with People's Foundation , kerala has selected Naravari Kuppam for development initiatives. Within this locality, two streets —VOC Street and Thiruvalluvar Street— have been identified for the initial phase of the project. An initial meeting with community leaders was conducted on 8 December 2024, laying the foundation for the project. The survey for this initiative was officially launched on December 15, 2024.

This marks a significant step forward in empowering the community through focused development efforts.
