68th Annual General Body Meeting of CCBA – 2025–2026
The 68th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the Chennai Customs Brokers Association (CCBA) was successfully held on 29th August 2026 at Hotel Ambassador Pallava, Chennai.
The AGM provided a fruitful platform for interaction between the office bearers and members. President Shri S. Nataraja, Secretary Shri R. N. Sekar, and the Office Bearers briefed the members on the latest developments, initiatives undertaken by CCBA, and the various challenges currently being faced by Customs Brokers in their day-to-day operations.
CCBA has been playing a vital role in identifying, escalating, and resolving operational and regulatory issues faced by the trade and Customs Brokers. Through continuous representations and consultations with CBIC, Chennai Customs, DG Systems, ICEGATE/ICES, and other allied government agencies, terminals, shipping lines and stakeholders, several long-pending issues have been addressed, resulting in smoother and more efficient Customs clearance.
The Association has consistently worked towards ensuring hassle-free Customs clearance, improving trade facilitation, reducing operational difficulties, and safeguarding the interests of its members. The proactive approach and timely escalation of issues by CCBA have contributed significantly to achieving positive outcomes for the Customs Broker fraternity and the EXIM trade.
The AGM also provided an opportunity for members to share their suggestions, concerns and practical difficulties, which will further guide the Association in its continued efforts towards strengthening the Customs Broker community and facilitating seamless EXIM operations.
The active participation and valuable support of the members have been instrumental in making CCBA’s initiatives successful. The Association remains committed to continuing its constructive engagement with the authorities and stakeholders for the benefit of its members and the trade at large.
