Sampada was initiated with the idea of employing People with Disability (PWD) or Differently-abled People in the company’s mainstream. It began with the management’s strong belief that ’Inclusion’ enables everyone fulfill their potential, and supports in broadening people’s perspectives to appreciate, resulting in maximum contribution. Over 100 differently-abled associates are currently working as
Software Trainees/ Engineers and in other areas like Technology, User Interface, Project Management, General Administration and Human Resources. Few also play the role of mentors to other PWDs. The nature of disability varies from Polio, Cerebral Palsy, Accident impairment to Hearing, Speech and Visual impairment with severity of the disability varying from 65% to 90%. A PWD friendly environment has been created providing facilities such like - ramp access, handicapped toilets, spacious lift for wheelchairs, special chairs, audio systems for the visually impaired, an alternative to turnstile at security check, ttransport arrangements, accessible meeting locations also benefits like free accommodation close to the office, working from home options and special commuting facilities are in place.
