Every aircraft that has ever flown obeys the same equation. Generations of students have learned to derive it at a blackboard.

For many of them, the equation came second. The curiosity came first, on the day an aircraft passed overhead and they stopped to watch. A great deal of Indian engineering traces its beginnings to that moment of looking up.

For ninety-four years, the Indian Air Force has given the nation that moment. Since 1932, it has guarded our skies and inspired generations to ask how flight is made possible.

At IITM Pravartak, we recognise that journey, because it is the one we are committed to. Knowledge finds its purpose when it leaves the blackboard.

The Indian Air Force embodies the standard that this demands: rigour without compromise, precision under pressure, and a sense of duty larger than any individual. These are the qualities we hope to see in every engineer, researcher and founder who passes through our doors.

Long before “iterate” became a word of startups, Gandhi titled his autobiography ‘The Story of My Experiments with Truth.’

He tested, observed, refined, tried again. At IITM Pravartak, we encourage the same method that turns research into technology people can use. Today, we honour the original experimenter at our hub of innovation.
