Exploring Meaningful Collaboration with Stella Maris College 🤝

Today, July 28, 2027, I had the privilege of meeting Professor Tamilarasi, NSS Programme Officer and Professor Harriet Sathyavathy, Coordinator.– Service Learning, Stella Maris College for a meaningful discussion on potential areas of collaboration.

We explored opportunities to work together in creating impactful community engagement, service-learning, student volunteering, and social development initiatives that can benefit both students and the wider community.

Looking forward to building a strong and meaningful partnership with Stella Maris College and creating opportunities for students to learn, serve, and contribute to society.

The Shelter Monitoring Committee Meeting was successfully conducted on July 21, 2026, at the Corporation Shelter Home for Women, Puliyanthope, Chennai, operated by Project Future India Trust.

The meeting served as an important platform to review the overall functioning of the shelter and to strengthen interdepartmental coordination for the welfare of the residents. Key discussions focused on healthcare services, sanitation and hygiene standards, shelter management, residents’ welfare, awareness and capacity-building activities, and livelihood support initiatives aimed at promoting rehabilitation and social reintegration.

The meeting was attended by Zone 6 Community Development Officer, Madam Subiksha, Sanitary Inspector Thiru Nallathambi, and the Sub-Inspector of P1 Puliyanthope Police Station, whose valuable suggestions and continued support will further enhance the quality of care and services provided to the residents.

Project Future India Trust remains committed as to providing a safe, dignified, and empowering environment for homeless and vulnerable women through collaborative efforts with the Greater Chennai Corporation and other stakeholders.

Parai Isai as Therapeutic Intervention | Music Therapy

Today, July 19, 2026, the Corporation Shelter Home for Homeless Women, Puliyanthope, Chennai, implemented by Project Future India Trust, conducted a Parai Isai Workshop as a therapeutic music intervention.

The session was facilitated by the dedicated volunteers of Aazhi Foundation, who introduced the residents to the art of playing the Parai and encouraged them to move and dance to its rhythmic beats.

Parai Isai more than a traditional folk and powerful form of music therapy promoted emotional expression and helps the resident reduces stress and anxiety, enhances concentration, and improves self-confidence.

The rhythmic drumming and coordinated body movements stimulated physical activity, fostered social interaction, and created a joyful environment where the residents could experience a sense of belonging, empowerment, and emotional release.

The workshop served as a holistic therapeutic intervention, demonstrating how indigenous art forms can significantly contribute to mental well-being, resilience, and psychosocial rehabilitation.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Aazhi Foundation for their meaningful contribution in bringing the healing power of Parai Isai to our residents.

As part of the Mental Health Awareness Outreach Programme held on 16 July 2026, the students of the Department of Psychology, Sathyabama University were given a comprehensive orientation on the functioning of the Corporation Shelter Home for Homeless Women, operated by Project Future India Trust.

Our Shelter Home Coordinator, Ms. Keerthana, provided an insightful briefing on the shelter’s day-to-day operations, admission procedures, rehabilitation process, resident care, and the holistic support services offered to women experiencing homelessness. The session enabled the students to gain practical exposure to community-based social work and the challenges and responsibilities involved in managing a shelter home.

We appreciate the enthusiastic participation of the faculty and students, and we look forward to continued collaborations that nurture compassionate and socially responsible future professionals.

Today, July 16, 2026, the Mental Health Awareness Program was successfully conducted at the Corporation Shelter Home for Women, Puliyanthope, Chennai, implemented by Project Future India Trust, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, Sathyabama University, as part of their Outreach Program.

The session created meaningful awareness on mental health, emotional well-being, and the importance of compassionate care for vulnerable women.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Parveen Banu, Head of the Department, and Dr. Kalaivanan, Assistant Professor, for their continuous support, commitment, and valuable contribution towards this initiative. We also thank the students for their enthusiastic participation and dedicated service.

Together, we continue to build a more inclusive, compassionate, and mentally healthy society.

Project Future India Trust proudly appreciates Ms. Priyanka and Mr. Harsh*th, first year law students, B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), VIT Chennai, for successfully completing their 30-day internship at the Corporation Shelter Home for Women, Puliyanthope, Chennai implemented by Project Future India Trust in association with the Greater Chennai Corporation.

Throughout their internship, they demonstrated sincerity, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to serving vulnerable women. They actively participated in the day-to-day functioning of the shelter, interacted respectfully with the residents, assisted in documentation and administrative tasks, supported legal awareness initiatives, and contributed to creating a safe, compassionate, and empowering environment for the women residing at the shelter.

Their enthusiasm to learn, willingness to take responsibility, and sensitivity towards social issues reflected the values expected of future legal professionals. Their dedication and positive attitude made a meaningful contribution to the shelter’s activities during their internship period.

We sincerely appreciate the efforts of Ms. Priyanka and Mr. Harsh*th and thank them for their valuable service. We wish them every success in their academic journey and future legal careers. May they continue to uphold justice, compassion, and integrity in all their endeavours.

நேற்று ஜீலை 10, 2026 சென்னை கோடம்பாக்கம் புலியூர் அரசு மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளியில் இந்த கல்வி ஆண்டிற்கான முதல் பள்ளி மேலாண்மைக்குழு கூட்டத்தில் கலந்து கொண்டு சத்துணவு, குடிநீர், பள்ளிக் கட்டிட சீரமைப்பு, 10ஆம் வகுப்பில் தேர்ச்சி பெறாத மாணவர்களின் மறுத்தேர்வு பயிற்சி, பள்ளி மேம்பாடு, மற்றும் மாணவர்களின் இடைநிறுத்த விகிதம் குறித்தும் கலந்துரைடையினோம்.

முதல் கூட்டத்தில் பள்ளியின் தலைமையாசிரியர் திருமிகு. கலைவாணி அவர்களை SMC சார்பாக கௌரவித்து பணி சிறக்க வாழ்த்தினோம்.

தூண்டில் போட்டு மீன் பிடிக்க கற்றுக் கொடுத்தாச்சு ❤️

ஜூலை 2, 2026 அன்று வாழ்வாதார மேம்பாட்டிற்கான பிங்க் நிற தள்ளுவண்டியை வட சென்னை புளியந்தோப்பு KP Park-ஐ சேர்ந்த சகோதரி மேகவதனி அவர்களுக்கு Project Future India Trust அறக்கட்டளையின் தூண்டில் திட்டத்தின் வழியாக வழங்கி மகிழ்ந்தோம். நாங்கள் வழங்கும் 30-வது தள்ளுவண்டி இது.

சகோதரி மேகவதனி அவர்களின் கணவர் 5 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் உடல் நலக்குறைவால் இறந்து விட்டார். மூன்று மகள்கள் மற்றும் ஒரு மகன். மிகவும் பொறுப்புள்ள இரண்டு பெரிய மகள்கள் கல்லூரியில் பயின்றுக் கொண்டே தாயின் சிறுதொழிலுக்கும் உதவுகின்றனர். இரண்டாம் மகள் கொரோனா பெருந்தொற்று காலத்தில் சாட் ஷாப் ஒன்றை வெறும் ஒரு மேசையின் மீது வைத்து ஆரம்பித்துள்ளார். குடும்பமே கடின உழைப்பாளிகள். ஒரு தள்ளுவண்டிக் கடை கிடைத்தால் பேருதவியாக இருக்கும் என்ற நிலையில் கள ஆய்வுக்கு பின்னர் தள்ளுவண்டியை வழங்கினோம். அவரும் அன்றே தான் மேசை மீது நடத்தி வந்த சாட் கடையை பெரிய தள்ளுவண்டிக்கு மாற்றி அமோகமாக வியாபாரம் செய்யவும் ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டார்.

பானி பூரி, பிரட் சாண்ட்விச், பிரட் ஆம்லெட் என சுவை அசத்தல். கொடுக்கும் நலனை சரியாக பயன்படுத்தி கொள்வதை கண்கூடாக பார்க்கும் போது அவ்வளவு நெகிழ்ச்சியாக இருந்தது. தொழில் மாபெரும் வெற்றிப் பெற்று குழந்தைகள் நன்கு படித்து வாழ்வில் நல்ல நிலைக்கு செல்ல வாழ்த்துக்கள்.

தூண்டில் போட்டு மீன் பிடிக்க கற்றுக் கொடுத்தாச்சு. தொழில் சிறக்க வாழ்த்துக்கள்.
