Apogee Research Forum is very pleased to have organised a seminar led by Justice Akbar Ali (retd) at Vanetra, Rasipuram on 9th December, 2023.

The speaker addressed the students on the topic "Empowering Minds: Exploring the Indian Constitution and begginer level consumer rights for students."

Justice Akbar Ali is a retired judge of the high court and has been a 2-time Member Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Legal Service Authority (TNSLA) and of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) in 2008. We were honoured to host such expertise and oratorship. We're sure that the young, bright, and inquisitive minds attending the seminar had a great learning experience!

We’re happy to complete our first seminar with the Department of Human Rights and Duties (HRDE), Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. Our esteemed speaker was Karthikei Balan, an eminent practicing advocate at the Madras High Court.

The seminar engaged students, staff, and organizers alike, in an insightful and interactive session about socio-political issues and government law making processes.

On the account of Women Equality Day, ARF collaborated with Vanetra Group to organise a seminar on 29th August '23 with chief guest Dr. Nappinnai Seran, founder of Psyhub, special counsellor - Family Court, consultant psychologist & mental therapist.

She addressed the Women's Forum of Muthayammal College of Arts and Science organizes Equality Day on the issue of "Uniting against Gender Based Violence and Prioritizing Mental Health 2k23."

It was an educating and engaging session for the participants as well as faculty members of the university.

Today, on 18th August 2023, Apogee collaborated with the Department of Public Policy at MOP Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai to organize a panel discussion on "Synthesizing Multidimensional Dialogues: Unraveling Social, Environmental, and Civic Facets in Policy Crafting."

The panel was moderated by Retired Justice Akbar Ali, ARF's venerable Advisory Board member and led by staunch civic activist Vanessa Peter and acclaimed journalist Kavitha Muralidharan.

The panel delved into the intricacies of civic participation as a catalyst for policymaking and how media narratives mould policy agendas directed at the intersection between gender and climate change. Through today's insightful conversations, we hope to spur civic engagement and more informed policy advocacy!

What incredible energy at the latest Women-Up meeting! The Women-Up, Tamil Nadu cohort convened on 4th Aug ‘23 for high tea at the Madras Club to track progress so far and discuss advancements in each of their working groups.

Women-Up Tamil Nadu is a roundtable hosted by Dr. Valli Arunachalam and implemented by Apogee Research Forum. It brings together a cohort of extremely accomplished and proactive women committed to the triplet objectives of
1️⃣ women leadership and entrepreneurship,
2️⃣ social and economic empowerment, and
3️⃣ healthcare and education for girls and women

We were honoured to coordinate this event where we got see so much zeal and passion towards the cause of empowerment and upliftment of women in Tamil Nadu.

We are thrilled to embark on this collaborative journey with the esteemed Government Arts College, Nandanam, under the leadership of Principal Dr. C. Jothi Venkateswaran. This partnership represents a significant milestone in our mission to foster academic excellence and promote cutting-edge research in the field of Public Administration and Public Policy
