Life Focus Society

Life Focus Society Discerning the difference between information and wisdom can quite literally be a matter of life and death.

At Life Focus Society we seek to explore the meaning of life, engage with different strands of thought as we identify our origin, purpose and destiny, and empower purposeful living through a personal relationship with the Way, the Truth and the Life. Explore * Engage * Empower

In a world with more questions than answers, where truth itself seems relative, and almost every source of knowledge suspect, navigating life is an enduring challenge.

Proverbs says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Including relational wisdom. Including the wisdom required to face the people who wounded you most.
Joseph's fear of God didn't erase his pain. He still wept. He still tested their hearts. He still felt the ache of what they had done.
But the fear of God reframed what he did with that pain.
Forgiveness is not the denial of your pain. It is the redemption of your pain.
And that is Imago Dei — the image of God & we are made to mirror it
That's where healing begins, says Sharmini Samuel

We discuss how modern society is spiritually depleted despite constant talk about mental health, exploring the paradox of technological advancement alongside increasing anxiety and loneliness. We examine how contemporary spirituality often seeks quick fixes like crystals and manifestation rather than genuine transformation, and contrast this with Jesus's claim to be life itself—not just a lifestyle. We explore L.T. Jayachandran's argument that humanity's choice for autonomy over connection with God has left civilization trying to heal itself from a disconnected source, and how nothing in this world—pleasure, achievement, or success—ultimately satisfies. We conclude by considering how Christ's resurrection offers hope grounded in history, suggesting that our spiritual ache may be evidence we were made for something greater.

What about the happy pagan?

The one who isn’t suffering.
The one with a good life, a sharp mind, and no felt need for God.
The one whose questions go unanswered — not because no one knows,
but because no one thought to ask.

In 1987, one ministry in India decided that person mattered.
Not just the broken. Not just the searching.
The thinker. The skeptic. The intellectual who’d never been spoken to — only preached at.

39 years later, that question is still the heartbeat of everything we do.

This is the story of Life Focus Society.
And it begins with a question.

And God looks at His people — wandering, complaining, covenant-breaking people — and says:
"You are my Segulah."
Before He gave a single commandment. Before He laid out a single moral expectation. He first established identity.
You are mine. You are treasured. You are set apart — not because of what you've done, but because of who I am.
And then — He gives the Ten Commandments.
And when you read them through this lens, they're not a legal code. They're a relational blueprint.
They become a mirror —Imago dei Reflecting back the image of the God who called the whole world beloved says, Sharmini Samuel.

Humans are not merely material, we are also personal, spiritual beings. Any search needs to be fitting to the seeker and the observed. While a God particle could be accessed in a LHC, discovering the person of God can leave you awestruck, says Neil Vimalkumar
