Project Vision: Giving Little Eyes a Better Tomorrow 👶💙

Through our ongoing Project Vision, the Inner Wheel Club of Adyar supports laser surgery for premature infants affected by Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) — a preventable cause of childhood blindness.

We are happy to share that 9 infants have received treatment so far this year, through Gurupriya Vision Research Foundation.

9 little lives. 9 brighter tomorrows. And many more planned. 💙

Every timely intervention can make a lifetime of difference.

A Home of Care, A Life of Dignity.

As part of our Installation Day projects, ₹1,00,000 was donated to Vishranthi Trust – Home for Aged Destitute Women, supporting their work in providing shelter, care and dignity to elderly women in need.

This generous contribution was made by our member Geetha Viswakumar, helping Vishranthi continue to offer a safe and caring home to women in their later years.

Dignity in the Final Journey.

As part of our Installation Day, a cheque for ₹1,00,000 was presented to Uravugal Trust, generously contributed by our member Geeta Viswakumar.

Uravugal Trust undertakes the deeply compassionate service of ensuring that unclaimed bodies receive a dignified burial and respectful final rites, giving dignity in death to those who may have no family or loved ones to perform their last rites.

Through this contribution, we are honoured to support a service rooted in humanity, compassion and dignity for every life.

Little Voices, Big Ideas of Freedom!

Celebrating Independence Day with 50 Corporation School children from the Vetri Programme at Indira Nagar Ladies Club.

The children shared what freedom means to them — discipline, kindness, controlling anger, equality and a life without discrimination — giving Independence Day a thoughtful new perspective.

The evening was filled with games and smiles, along with the distribution of geometry boxes and stationery kits. The celebrations concluded with peanut candy treats and a sumptuous dinner for all the children.
