Accidents do happen, but first aid always comes in clutch! 🩹✨

The Youth Red Cross of Easwari Engineering College (Autonomous) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of “THE FIRST AID AWARENESS SESSION” held on 17th October 2025 at the MBA Seminar Hall, in celebration of First Aid Day.

The session was led by Pulavar Dr. R. Manikam, Secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society, Chengalpattu District, who shared valuable insights on emergency response, CPR, and life-saving techniques, emphasizing how quick action can save lives. 💡💪

Our 123 enthusiastic students and Youth Red Cross Office Bearers actively participated, gaining practical knowledge, confidence, and the mindset to act responsibly during emergencies.

👏 A heartfelt thanks to Pulavar Dr. R. Manikam, all students, and YRC volunteers for making this event a remarkable success!

Join us this Friday (17 October 2025) for an insightful First Aid Awareness Program organized by the Youth Red Cross Club, exclusively for first years, where you’ll learn essential life-saving skills and practical techniques from certified trainers.

From handling burns and fractures to performing CPR, this session will help you stay prepared, confident, and ready to act when it matters most.

A Step Towards a Greener Tomorrow ✨🌊

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) of Easwari Engineering College successfully organized a Beach Cleaning Event at Besant Nagar Beach on 20.09.2025.The event witnessed the active participation of 287 dedicated student volunteers, who worked with great enthusiasm and commitment towards restoring the beauty of the coastline.

In the course of the drive, our volunteers collected and segregated 173 bags of waste, ranging from plastic bottles and wrappers to non-biodegradable materials that pose a major threat to marine life and the environment. This initiative not only focused on cleaning the beach but also on creating awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and responsible waste management. ♻️🌱

We are grateful to CommuniTree, our community partner, for extending their valuable support and guidance in executing this impactful initiative. Their expertise and coordination played a key role in amplifying the success of the event.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our College Management for their unwavering encouragement and support, which provided the motivation and resources required to conduct this event smoothly and effectively. 🙏

✨ Youth Red Cross of Easwari Engineering College actively participated in the Government-organized Blood Donation Camp held at Valasaravakkam.

With immense enthusiasm and compassion, our students came forward and donated 38 units of blood 🩸, making a valuable contribution to society.

👏 A big appreciation to all our student donors for their selfless service and for upholding the YRC motto – Helping Hands, Caring Hearts! ❤️
