In 2019, Ajay's life changed after a spinal cord injury. He spent five years completely bedridden, unsure of what the future would hold.

Everything changed when he joined Touch Freedom, The Ganga Foundation's online rehabilitation programme. Today, Ajay can independently transfer between his bed, wheelchair, and car, and even travel on his own.

Thank you, Ajay, for sharing your inspiring story and believing in Touch Freedom.

Together, let's ensure more people with spinal cord injuries get the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

Prabhjot Singh from Ferozepur, Punjab, sustained a spinal cord injury in a road accident in 2015. Unable to afford a suitable wheelchair, he relied on an old second-hand wheelchair that made even basic mobility difficult and kept him from going outdoors.

After connecting with TGF Peer Trainer, Prabhjot received an Invacare wheelchair through The Right Wheelchair Programme.

Today, he is able to move around more comfortably, go outside with confidence, and enjoy greater independence in his daily life.

When we talk about disability inclusion, we often focus on accessibility, education, employment, and healthcare. Yet one important aspect is frequently overlooked—love, relationships, and companionship.

Persons with disabilities have the same desires, emotions, and aspirations as everyone else. However, societal attitudes and stereotypes often create barriers to meaningful relationships and acceptance.

True inclusion means recognizing the right of every individual to love, be loved, and build relationships with dignity and respect.

This thought-provoking article from The Hindu explores why romance remains one of the last taboos in India's disability conversation.
