Motivation Meetings – Palliative Care at Vandoor (Nilambur Region)

With a vision to strengthen community participation in palliative care ministry through Holy Word Inland Mission (HWIM), a Motivation Meeting was prayerfully conducted on 17 January 2026 at Vandoor (near Vaniyambalam, Nilambur region). The gathering focused on creating awareness, inspiring compassionate involvement, and encouraging believers to take active responsibility in caring for the seriously ill and bedridden within their communities.

The meeting was led by HWIM Mission Director Bro. Santhosh P. Thomas, along with Pr. Samuel P. J., Pr. Paulose, Pr. M. C. Thomas, and Nurse Alma Maria Sebastian, who shared valuable insights, practical guidance, and spiritual encouragement for strengthening holistic palliative care services and expanding mission initiatives in the region.

It was a blessed and meaningful time of fellowship, discussion, and prayer, as participants reflected on God’s call to serve suffering families with compassion, unity, and Christ-centered commitment.

ഇന്ന് ജനുവരി 15 — കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി പാലിയേറ്റീവ് കെയർ ദിനം

പാലിയേറ്റീവ് പരിചരണം ആശുപത്രികളിൽ മാത്രം ഒതുങ്ങേണ്ടതല്ല. രോഗത്തിന്റെ ഭാരം ചുമക്കുന്ന ഓരോ വ്യക്തിക്കും, അവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കും,
ഗുണമേന്മയുള്ള പരിചരണം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടത് സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വമാണ്.

സാർവത്രിക പാലിയേറ്റീവ് പരിചരണം — അയൽപക്ക കൂട്ടായ്മകളിലൂടെ എന്നതാണ് ഈ വർഷത്തെ സന്ദേശം.

ഒരു ആപ്പിനും ടെക്നോളജിക്കും പകരം വയ്ക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തത് മനുഷ്യന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യവും സ്നേഹവുമാണ്. രോഗശയ്യയിൽ കഴിയുന്ന ഒരാളുടെ കൈപിടിക്കാനും, ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിന് ആശ്വാസം പകരാനും, ജീവസുറ്റ അയൽപക്ക കൂട്ടായ്മകൾ അനിവാര്യമാണ്.

HWIM അംഗങ്ങളായ നാം, രോഗദുരിതം അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന നമ്മുടെ അയൽവാസികളെ അന്വേഷിച്ച് എത്താൻ തയ്യാറാകട്ടെ. ചെറിയ ഇടപെടലുകൾ കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ വലിയ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കാം എന്ന വിശ്വാസത്തോടെ,
പാലിയേറ്റീവ് പരിചരണം ഓരോരുത്തരുടേയും അവകാശവും അത് ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്നത് നമ്മുടെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വവുമാകട്ടെ🙏

Today is January 15 — Community Palliative Care Day

Palliative care should not be limited to hospitals. It is the responsibility of society to ensure that every person and their families who bear the burden of illness,
receive quality care.

Universal Palliative Care — Through Neighborhood Communities is this year’s message.

What no app or technology can replace is human presence and love. To hold the hand of a sick person and bring comfort to a family, vibrant neighborhood communities are essential.

As HWIM members, let us be ready to seek out and reach our neighbors who are suffering from illness. With the belief that small interventions can create big changes,
May palliative care be everyone’s right and our responsibility to provide it🙏

HWIM തിരുവനന്തപുരം പാലിയേറ്റിവ് യൂണിറ്റ് കുടുംബ സംഗമം 2025 ഡിസംബർ 6, ശനിയാഴ്ച, അമരവിള, നെയ്യാറ്റിൻകരയിൽ വച്ച് നടന്നു. HWIM Thiruvananthapuram Palliative Unit Family Get Together was held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Amaravila, Neyyattinkara.
