The main purpose of WSM is to keep our river water clean, green, and alive. In our hills, water sources are slowly drying up due to deforestation—like jhum cultivation, teakwood, and palm plantations.
When forests disappear, water disappears too.
We must protect the water that still exists by keeping our rivers free from plastic.
This Bizu, WSM steps forward with action—starting with waste segregation and a mass recyclable waste collection drive. ♻️
Small changes in our daily habits can bring big impact.

MESSAGE
Marriage is a sacred celebration where families gather to bless the new couple with love and good wishes. But sadly, along with blessings, we are also generating unnecessary waste.

WSM found all almost 70% of water bottles were left half-drunk. Many guests opened new bottles, drank only 20% 30% and threw the rest away. This is not just wasted water — it is wasted plastic, wasted resources, and wasted respect for nature.

Often guests attend in groups. If bottles were shared, much of this waste could be avoided.

In earlier times, our elders used a traditional mud water pot called “HUTTI". One or two pots were refilled and used for years. No plastic. No waste. Only mindful living.
Today, without realizing it, we are harming our air, land, water, and even our health.
Let us attend weddings to bless the couple — not to burden Mother Nature.

As we all know Feast is organised to bless the departed soul and free it from bad karma. It is a sacred moment of love and remembrance.

But such gatherings often generate large amounts of waste that harm Mother Nature.
Waste Solutions Mizoram (WSM) believes that if we seek peace and enlightenment for a soul, we must also protect the earth 🌎.🐇🌴🐙🐆👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌊 True blessing is incomplete without responsibility.
