On 7th July 2025, DAV College, Chandigarh, hosted a heartfelt Felicitation Ceremony in honour of Capt Vikram Batra (PVC), the legendary Kargil War hero. Over 300 NCC cadets united to pay tribute, with Capt Batra’s family being honoured and a wreath laid in his memory. His courage and sacrifice continue to inspire us all. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

Motivation | Training | Discipline

Brigadier V S Chauhan, YSM, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ Chandigarh, visited the Combined Annual Training Camp organized by 1 Chandigarh Naval Unit NCC at Punjab Engineering College, Sec 12, Chandigarh.

The camp, under the leadership of Camp Commandant Capt Tejinder Singh, began on 6th June to impart essential military training to NCC cadets including:

Drill

Weapon Training

Naval Orientation

Brig Chauhan interacted with the cadets, reviewed their training progress, and emphasized the importance of focused effort, discipline, and goal-setting.
He also addressed ANOs & staff, encouraging them to uphold the spirit of NCC — building character, leadership, comradeship, and service to the nation.

As a part of the countdown to , , under the aegis of NCC Group Chandigarh, organized a vibrant Yoga Shivir at JNV, Sector 25, during its ongoing Annual Training Camp.

🧎‍♂️ Over 400 cadets and staff participated in the session, embracing the spirit of “सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः” – May All Be Healthy.

Senior Leadership Visit | NCC Chandigarh

On 5th June 2025, Major General J S Cheema, Additional Director General (ADG) of NCC Directorate Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh, visited the NCC Group Headquarters Chandigarh, located at NCC Complex, Sector 31D.

The visit was part of the Annual Administrative Inspection. On arrival, he reviewed the ceremonial guard of NCC cadets.

Brig V S Chauhan, YSM, Group Commander of Chandigarh NCC Group, briefed the ADG on the group’s administrative achievements and training performance during the year 2024–25.
