In memory of the brave Pan Am Flight Purser, Neerja Bhanot, who gave up her life while saving hundreds of others, 2 Awards have been instituted :

Award A: To an Indian woman, who, when subjected to social injustice like dowry, desertion etc., has faced the situation with guts and grit AND has then helped other women in similar social distress. Award B: To any airline crew member who goes beyond

the call of duty in a difficult situation. Nominations, in English or Hindi, can be sent by anyone (including self-nominations) on plain paper, by Aug. 20, 2012 Nominations to be sent to :
