'PUNARKRITI - A New Image of Change' is an initiative by the students of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) to make an effective change in the society, one step at a time! The primary purpose of this Non-Profitable Organisation is to help the society in any possible way it can. To start-up with, we have first taken up 4 projects-
1) ABC: We teach the unprivileged children and ev
en prepare them for the competitive examinations.
2) YOUR STEP COUNTS: We collect books, clothes, stationary items and various other required things, from different houses and give them to poor children and Old Age homes.
3) JAAGRITI: We go from door to door and aware them about new Government Policies and what kind of privileges they can ask for from The Government of INDIA under different clauses. Under this project only we try to help them get out of the problems related to money, land or even related to women harassment in marriages due to dowry, giving birth to a girl child etc.
4) GIVE A SMILE: We visit Old Age Homes, Orphanages as well as schools for disabled. They are the people who need extra love and care. So just to give a smile to their faces we go, talk and play with them, and help them in any way we can.
