Our office address is SCO-141-142, Sector 8-C, Chandigarh. Vision – Our objective is to assist blind people with their higher education. Blindness is the condition of visual perception due to physiological or neurological factors. It is frequently used to describe severe visual impairment with residual vision. According to a 2007 study report, there are 37 million people in the world out of which
15 million are in India. We aim to work on the reduction of this statistic keeping in mind the following essentials.
• Ethics – Our vision is to help the blind children have a better tomorrow, while not compromising with morals. We are fully committed towards the organisation’s mission and therefore, honesty and sincerity is a quintessential virtue we abide by.
• Progress – Our purpose is just not the provision of education to the blind children. We hope the financial and non-financial assistance they get will help them lead a self-sufficient life in the future.
• Social Responsibility – “Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful, that's what matters to me.” as quoted by the late Steve Jobs. We hope to embark on the same philosophy and conscientiously work towards building a better society.
• Uniting the Human Race – The world is full of imperfections. Any effort made to bridge these gaps would be an enormous leap for mankind. The name “The Snowball Foundation” is derived from The Snowball Effect where a ball of snow gets bigger and bigger as it rolls downhill. What we try to portray through the name and the logo of the foundation is that even in times of adversity, a person grows in stature. Projects –
Present – We are currently working on providing financial aid to a group of students for their collegiate education. Future – Snowball foundation also hopes to help many more students both financially and non-financially in this regard as and when donations are made available. We look to provide services for the blind through the process of innovation and technology and our special direction teams will tailor their individualised curricular as well as other daily needs.
