We are all witnessing the heartbreaking suffering caused by the ongoing floods across Punjab. Families have lost homes, children are without basic necessities, and entire communities are struggling to survive.

For a Cause NGO joined the National Round Table Conference by IIPG on ‘Punjab’s Health Transformation: From Grain Bowl to Nutrition Bowl’.
Heartfelt appreciation to our Project Director, Ibaadat Bains, for representing our entire team with such clarity and passion.
Punjab’s paradox is clear despite being India’s food basket, it grapples with malnutrition, anaemia, and rising NCDs fueled by cereal-heavy diets and environmental strain from stubble burning to pesticide risks. Ibaadat underscored the urgency of integrated solutions crop diversification, climate-smart farming, stubble alternatives, climate-indexed insurance, and viewing clean air, safe water, and healthy soils as foundational public-health infrastructure.
