As we step into the New Year, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every volunteer, supporter, and well-wisher who stood with Beyond Life and Death Welfare Society through the past year. The previous year reminded us why compassion must never be seasonal. During the Punjab flood relief efforts, we witnessed humanity at its finest—people coming together to support those who had lost homes, livelihoods, and a sense of security. I would like to sincerely acknowledge the dedicated efforts of Nancy, Charry, and the Palm Royale Estate family, whose support and commitment played a vital role in making this relief work possible. Our cloth distribution drives brought warmth, dignity, and reassurance to many families in need. This initiative would not have been possible without the time, effort, and care extended by Zinia Tanika, Aashna, and Charry. We were also privileged to conduct an Eye Camp, which was mentored and fully financed by Amarbir Singh Shergill. His guidance and generosity enabled us to provide essential eye care and consultations to individuals with limited access to medical services. Beyond these initiatives, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our wider volunteer community—Abhimanyu, Rifhat, the Khanna Group led by Nancy, Aditi, Govind, Simran, Nighat and Poorva—for their consistent support, behind-the-scenes efforts, and belief in our mission. We initiated the process of establishing our official bank account, an essential step toward transparency, accountability, and structured growth. In this context, I am pleased to introduce Chandan Preet as the new Treasurer of Beyond Life and Death Welfare Society. We welcome him and look forward to his guidance in strengthening our financial governance.
As we move ahead, our focus remains clear and purposeful. One of our key commitments for the coming year is the continuation and expansion of our monthly sanitary pad drive, because access to menstrual hygiene is not charity—it is a basic right tied to health, dignity, and equality. On behalf of Beyond Life and Death Welfare Society, I wish you and your families a year filled with health, purpose, and compassion.

With utmost respect to the Hon’ble Supreme Court, as a Lawyer , I wish to express deep concern over yesterday’s directive to catch all stray dogs in Delhi-NCR and place them in pounds.

While public safety is undeniably important, this blanket approach risks causing immense suffering to innocent animals, many of whom are healthy, vaccinated, and part of well-managed community dog programs. Ethical animal management requires a balance between human safety and compassion for voiceless beings, in line with the principles of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, and Animal Birth Control (Dogs) Rules.

Its an humble urge for reconsideration of this measure in favor of humane, scientifically proven solutions such as sterilization drives, vaccination programs, and community involvement, which ensure safety without depriving animals of their right to live freely and without cruelty.

A nation’s greatness is reflected in how it treats its animals, and I trust that the judiciary will uphold India’s long-standing tradition of compassion and justice for all living beings.
